Fluted, wave or 3D? How to choose a feature wall style
Each parametric style changes a room in a different way. Compare fluted, wave, 3D relief and screens to find the right one for your space.

Choosing a feature wall style is less about trends and more about the room: its size, its light and what the wall needs to do. Here is how the four main parametric styles compare.
Fluted: calm and versatile
Fluted walls use straight vertical ribs. They make ceilings feel higher and add texture without dominating a room. Choose fluted if you want a wall that works with any furniture, if the room is small, or if the wall also includes doors or storage that should disappear.
Best for: bedrooms, TV walls, apartments, offices.
Wave: movement and drama
Wave walls use ribs of varying depth that form a flowing surface. They change as you walk past and look striking in photos. They need space — ideally a wall of 3 metres or more — and good grazing light.
Best for: majlis, living rooms, lobbies, restaurants.
3D relief: light and geometry
3D relief walls are built from facets, pyramids or diamonds. They look most alive in rooms with changing natural light or directional lighting. They suit modern, architectural interiors.
Best for: statement walls, stairwells, boardrooms, cinemas.
Screens: divide without closing
Screens let light and air through. Use them when you need to separate two areas but keep the space open, or when you need privacy and shade at a window.
Best for: room dividers, staircases, majlis partitions, façades.
Quick guide
- Small room? Fine Flute or Linear Flute.
- Large, plain wall? Tidal Wave, Dune or Facet.
- Need acoustic help? Pyramid or fluted slats on acoustic felt.
- Need privacy but light? Lattice, Ripple Screen or Mashrabiya.
